An unexpected turn of events
The maintenance man made me cry today.
Before you get upset with him, all he did was ask how I was doing.
“How are you, Melissa? I know your mom passed recently and it’s been a minute since we’ve crossed paths, how are you holding up?”
“Well, I’m okay, I mean, things could be better…last Monday, I was diagnosed with breast cancer…”
Through her eyes
As the minutes, miles, and memories pass me by, I wonder what it is my mom sees when she closes her eyes…
My Mom’s Greatest Lesson for Me
My mom is the reason for why I always wanted to become an artist. She’s going through the fight of her life right now. I shared this as a post 3 days ago and the response has been overwhelmingly positive filled with prayers, love, and support. I am willing to share it openly if it means it can possibly help someone else out there who is going through such an experience.
Last minute Christmas projects…Nash’s Restaurant
Welcome to my new website!
Sitting at Scratch, one of my favorite restaurants, enjoying a bevy or two and working on filling in this drawing of St. Michael's Church in Crowley with some watercolor!
